The ever-increasing complexity of the services many organizations offer and the high pressure on fast delivery present organizations with various challenges. One of the challenges organizations face is ensuring that their employees work in a safe, responsible, legal, and ethical manner.
The responsibility organizations have in this, whether concerning the safety of employees, the gatekeeper function of financial institutions, or the ethical impact of their trading practices, for example, is growing and becoming more complex. For organizations to carry this responsibility, it is crucial that their employees are aware of their own contribution to and impact on these topics.
Serious Games are an excellent way to tackle complex questions. They give players tangible, hands-on experiences, and provide them with a safe context in which to experiment. For example, we helped Rabobank train thousands of Customer Due Diligence specialists by means of a narrative game platform. We’ve also constructed numerous escape rooms—for Eneco, Stedin, and SHV, to name a few. For ASML, we developed a game around its code of conduct to help employees put the organization’s ethical framework into practice.
There’s nothing we enjoy more than helping our customers to discover how we can link these topics to their employees’ drives, and then using games to create playful solutions that generate positive experiences around at times uncomfortable and complicated topics.
